Dr. Bond's responsibilities include:
- Coordination of the demonstration and outreach component of a $2.8 million project on the alternative management of the aquatic weeds hydrilla and hygrophila. Outreach activities include website development and publications and other media targeted at the general public and scientific community.
- Surveying aquatic weed populations and collecting aquatic weeds for identification purposes.
- Providing an interface for the project with local government agencies including the South Florida Water Management District, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
