Description of Experiment
Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) is grown in Florida in the fall, winter, and early spring. Bacterial leaf spot, caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria, infects the leaves of the tomato plant. From this initial infection site, the pathogen can become redistributed to the fruit, causing a significant loss of the crop. This test was conducted to evaluate several pesticides that have potential to control this pathogen.
