Crop consulting, Coney Creek Agronomics, Castaglia, NC

Jeff Pack interned as a scout and production assistant in the Summer of 2007 with with Coney Creek Agronomics and RareBird Nursery. Services provided include soil fertility and nematode sampling, complete IPM monitoring (pests, diseases, and weeds), and crop production management. Primary crops served include cotton, tobacco, sweet potatoes, and peppers, including crops under organic management. RareBird Nursery specializes in wildlife-supporting plants and native (to NC) species, with emphasis on butterfly and hummingbird nectar plants.
