DPM Student Application Process

 

It is the applicant's responsibility to provide complete documentation to the Office of Admissions and Plant Medicine Program department.

International Students must submit the Certification of Financial Responsibility form (131KB pdf) along with a photograph of himself/herself to the University of Florida International Center for review and approval.

UF Office of Admissions

  1. Graduate Application.
    The University of Florida requests that applicants submit the graduate application online    .
  2. Application Fee.
    The University of Florida, Admissions Office requests that applicants pay the nonrefundable $30.00 application fee (via online application) or mail a check or money order to the Office of Admissions. Please include your name and UFID on the check or money order and mail to :

    Applicants who previously paid the application fee are exempt from paying an additional fee for one year from the year and term applied.

  3. Official GRE Test Scores.
    Please have the testing center mail the official GRE scores to the University of Florida

The Plant Medicine Program requests that applicants mail the forms and the documents below to:

  1. Official Transcripts (sealed envelope).
    Please have previous colleges attended mail official transcripts to the program address above.

    International students must submit official transcript(s), diploma(s), and degree(s)
    a) in his/her country's original language
    b) in the English language. Include a copy of the diploma.

  2. Copy of GRE Scores
    Please request a copy of the GRE scores for yourself, and mail a copy of the scores to our program address above.
  3. Copy of TOEFL Scores
    (International applicants only)
    Please request a copy of the TOEFL scores for yourself, and mail a copy of the scores to our program address above.
  4. Statement of Purpose
    A Statement of Purpose must be written by the applicant that provides a brief description of his/her background, career and educational goals and future plans.
  5. Curriculum Vitae or Resume
  6. Three Letters of Recommendation (LOR).
    Please have your three references submit the LOR along with a cover letter through the online application. If there is a problem, your references can mail the Letter of Recommendation (13KB pdf) with cover letter to our program address above.
  7. Residency Classification Form (668KB pdf)
